  • Pell Grant

The Pell Grant is a need-based federal grant that provides financial assistance that does not require repayment. Awarded based on your financial need, this grant aims to make education more accessible.

  • Subsidized Loans

Subsidized loans are need-based, with the government covering the interest while you are in school, during the grace period, and during deferment. This provides you with a financial advantage, as the interest does not accrue during these periods. Eligibility is determined based on financial need.

  • Unsubsidized Loans

Unsubsidized loans, on the other hand, are not need-based, and interest begins accruing from the time the loan is disbursed. While you have the option to defer interest payments until after graduation, choosing to pay interest while in school can save you money in the long run.

  • GI Bill® Educational Benefits

As a certified institution by the Department of Veterans Affairs, we proudly offer educational benefits under the GI Bill®. Veterans and their eligible family members can take advantage of this support. Learn more about the process and eligibility on the official U.S. government website.

Accessible Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships are also an effective way to pay for beauty school. Other organizations may offer scholarships for beauty school students that don’t have to be paid back. The most common resources to find scholarships include:

Tips for Finding Scholarships:

  • Start your search early – many scholarships have deadlines months before the program starts.
  • Read the eligibility criteria carefully – ensure you meet all the requirements before applying.
  • Apply to multiple scholarships – increasing your chances of receiving funding.
  • Keep your applications organized – track deadlines and requirements for each scholarship.
  • Proofread your applications– typos or errors can disqualify you.

Some scholarships are even available to students who are already enrolled in beauty school, so we recommend you keep searching for options that you may be able to apply for!
