Everything You Need to Know Before Enrollment

All programs start every two weeks. Classes start on Monday or Tuesday (depending on location), with a continuously rotating curriculum.

Program Length:

  • Cosmetology: 12-18 Months
  • Nail Technology: 5 Months
  • Instructor: 4-6 Months 
  • Aesthetics: 5 Months
  • Hairstyling: 5-14 Months
 

Turning Point Beauty College offers two beauty schools located in Phoenix and Chandler, open for all Arizona student to attend. Our beauty college is certified by the Veterans Administration, and we are proud to accept veterans in all programs.

What Do I Need To Enroll?

Cosmetology, Nail Tech, Aesthetics, and Hairstyling Program:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • State Issued Picture I.D.
  • Social Security Card
  • Enrollment Application & Agreement
  • Birth Certificate / Green Card
  • Most Recent Tax Returns
 

Instructor Program:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • State Issued Picture I.D.
  • Social Security Card
  • Enrollment Application & Agreement
  • Birth Certificate / Green Card
  • Notarized Proof of One Year Experience as a Licensed Cosmetologist or Nail Technician
 
Transferring Credit Hours

We accept credit hours from beauty schools registered with the Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board or any out-of-state school that is registered with a state board that complies with the Arizona reciprocity standards.

We do not accept students that are actively/already enrolled in any other cosmetology program for another beauty college.

Taking A Leave of Absence

Students who take a leave of absence can pick up right where they left off, and official interruptions have no effect on satisfactory progress standards. Students who withdraw or are terminated must wait a minimum of three months before they may reapply to Turning Point Beauty College.

Financial Aid

Financial aid is available at our Phoenix and Chandler campuses! One of our representatives can help you find the options available to you. 

Students enrolled in most programs can apply for federal financial assistance through Title IV of the Higher Education Act, which offers federal grants and low-cost federal loans to students who qualify. Pell Grants and Stafford Loans, both subsidized and unsubsidized, are available. Turning Point Beauty College can also accept VA educational benefits. 

Students can get private loans from various agencies such as credit unions, banks, etc. We also accept tuition payments through credit cards, money orders, and checks. 

Note: Financial aid is not available for our instructor program.

Pay-As-You-Learn Plan

Turning Point Beauty College offers a unique Pay-As-You-Learn plan. Students must pay the application fee, cost of the kit, and freshman hours upfront. After the freshman hours are complete, students can pay for each class before taking it. Clinic floor hours may be completed after payment.
