Everything You Need to Know Before Enrollment

Turning Point Beauty College puts a beauty education within reach. We have two locations in Phoenix and Chandler, open for all Arizona students to attend. Once you enroll in a program, you learn by doing. Training starts with demonstrations, then practicing on mannequins and getting feedback from experienced instructors. Eventually, you can move on to working with live models and clients under licensed supervision. With rolling start dates throughout the year, you can begin your training when it works best for you, and choose a flexible schedule so training fits into your life.

Enrollment Requirements

To enroll in Cosmetology, Nail Tech, Aesthetics, or Hairstyling, we only have two application requirements:

Proof of your high school diploma or GED
Be at least 17 years old

If you wish to enroll in our Student Instructor Training program, you’ll need to bring a copy of your professional license and proof that you have at least one year of professional experience.

How to Enroll at Turning Point Beauty College

1. Schedule Your Tour: Visit the Phoenix or Chandler campuses, see classrooms and the clinic in action, and discuss which program and language of instruction best fit your goals.

2. Bring Your Documents: Gather the enrollment items needed so we can verify your eligibility and start your student file. If you have questions about any of the materials needed, contact our Admissions team.

3. Complete Your Application: Submit the enrollment application & agreement and any campus forms. We’ll help you pick a start date that works for you. You won’t have to wait long, either, because our classes start every 2–4 weeks.

4. Build Your Financial Plan: Begin with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) if you’re seeking federal aid. We also accept VA education benefits and can coordinate Vocational Rehabilitation and AZ @ Work resources for eligible students. We also offer a Pay-As-You-Learn plan that allows you to pay for your freshman hours and kit up front, then pay per class as you are able to. Our financial aid team can help you explore all of your options. Financial aid is available to those who qualify.

5. Prepare For the First Day: Review your schedule and student expectations as you prepare for your first day of beauty school. Get excited about classroom demonstrations, one-to-one feedback from experienced and compassionate instructors, and the chance to work with live models and real clients in the student clinic under licensed supervision. Admissions & Enrollment FAQs

What training programs do you offer?

Turning Point Beauty College offers programs in Cosmetology, Aesthetics, Nail Technology, and Hairstyling, plus a 350-hour Student Instructor program and a 30-hour Eyelash Extension Specialist Certification. Ask Admissions which campuses and languages are currently available for each program.

Can I take a break from training and return later?

Students who take a leave of absence can pick up right where they left off, and official interruptions have no effect on satisfactory progress standards. Students who withdraw or are terminated must wait a minimum of three months before they may reapply to Turning Point Beauty College.

Do you offer job placement?

While employment can’t be guaranteed, the school offers career guidance. We can help with resume prep, interview practice, and building a portfolio of work to show potential employers. We also have close connections with local salon owners, and keep students informed about potential job leads.

Can I transfer credit hours from another beauty school?

We accept credit hours from beauty schools registered with the Arizona Barbering and Cosmetology Board or any out-of-state school that is registered with a state board that complies with the Arizona reciprocity standards.

We do not accept students who are actively/already enrolled in any other cosmetology program at another beauty college.

When is the school closed?
