Discrimination Policy:

Turning Point Beauty College does not discriminate in its admissions, instruction, or graduation policies on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, financial status, or ethnic origin. All applicants are evaluated solely on their ability to meet admissions requirements and perform program competencies.

Grievance Procedure

Turning Point Beauty College encourages open communication and fair resolution of concerns.

  1. Step 1 – Instructor Discussion
    Submit your concern in writing to your primary instructor.
  2. Step 2 – School Director Review
    If unresolved, submit a signed and dated written complaint to the school director. A copy will be filed in your student record.
  3. Step 3 – Administrative Resolution
    If the issue remains unresolved, contact owner/administrator Nhu Holder, who will respond within 24 hours and work toward resolution.
  4. Step 4 – External Complaint

All grievances must be filed within 60 days of the event and include all documentation. The school prohibits retaliation for filing a good-faith complaint.

Turning Point Beauty College makes every effort to maintain a safe environment for its students and staff
members. As a part of that effort, anyone who witnesses or is involved in a crime in our facilities or their surrounding parking areas should immediately call 911 to report it to law enforcement officials. Immediately after contacting law enforcement officials, the crime should be reported to the School director or most senior staff member present at the time.

Drug Policy

Drug And Alcohol Abuse Policy

Turning Point Beauty College is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment that is conducive to learning for all students and employees. The college prohibits the unlawful manufacture, possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs—whether legal or illegal—and alcohol by students and staff on campus or as part of any school activities. Turning Point Beauty College actively supports the prevention of drug and alcohol abuse.

Turning Point Beauty College prohibits any student who is under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or suspected of being under the influence, from attending school. Any student found to be under the influence, or suspected of being under the influence, will be subject to suspension or possible termination.

Turning Point Beauty College will terminate students and staff involved in the unlawful manufacture, possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs or alcohol on campus. Students and staff may be considered for reinstatement upon successful completion of an appropriate rehabilitation program.

FERPA – Protecting Student Privacy

In compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), Turning Point Beauty College ensures the following policies:

Harassment, Discrimination, Bullying, And Title IX Policy

Turning Point Beauty College is committed to providing a campus environment that is free from all forms of discrimination and sexual harassment involving any student or staff member. Discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, national origin, age, disability, or sexual orientation, including coercion or intimidation, will not be tolerated.

Violation of Turning Point Beauty College’s Harassment, Discrimination, Bullying, and Title IX Policy will subject the offending parties to appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Retaliation for reporting such conduct will not be tolerated. Any individual found to be engaging in retaliation will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination that violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination, including sexual harassment. Discrimination on the basis of sex under Title IX includes sexual harassment and sexual violence. Sexual harassment is defined as unwelcome sexual advances (including sexual assault), requests for sexual favors, and/or physical, verbal, or written conduct of a sexual nature when:

(i) Submission to such conduct is made explicitly or implicitly a term or condition of an individual’s employment, education, or participation in the school’s programs.

(ii) Submission to or rejection of such conduct by an individual is used as a basis for decisions pertaining to the individual’s employment, education, or participation in the school’s programs or activities, or

(iii) Such speech or conduct is directed against another individual, is abusive or humiliating, and persists after the objection of the person targeted by the conduct, Or

(iv) Such conduct would be considered by a reasonable person to create an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment that substantially interferes with an individual’s work, education, or participation in the school’s programs or activities.
